High speed Data Entry

The time you spend on data entry will be reduced by 50 % because you will enter data for all the members of the family on one screen.

No longer any need to move from one screen to another, everything is done on the Family Group Data tab: the central person, the parents, unions, children, and even spouses of the children are shown.

There are other data entry tools for you: entry of an individual, direct data entry on the Immediate Family, entry on a family chart…

Enter data your own way!

Only display the data fields you need. The Customize format is designed for you to select the important data which apply to your research.

You will not enter data for your parents and near relations in the same way as for more remote cousins… because you have found unusual information in certain civil acts. Maybe because certain ancestors’ lives have been written up in old books.

Enter data anywhere!

Add a child directly, or a grandfather on the Immediate Family tab. On the Personal data tab, you may enter the whole life of an individual, including all unions. With the Family Group Data tab, you can create a whole family line.

Permanent data entry help at all times. Heredis will propose a choice of all places of the French and English speaking countries, given names and occupations. For example, gender is entered automatically according to the given name. But for ‘Lindsey’, you will be asked to choose it for a man or a woman.

A report for unions, for events or for acts or deeds to be located, – you have to hand a great tool for taking stock of your research.

Print your report with your normal word processor or export in various formats (Excel, PDF, Text).

Making notes on media

Heredis has all the tools for formatting a text. Enter notes for individuals, couples, events, places, names, media …

For example, add a note specifying the context of the photo of the birthplace of an ancestor.

Enjoy making them more readable by changing their format: a little color, a word in bold, titles, bulleted lists.

Date Converter

Heredis automatically calculates the date of birth of a person according to the age given on any act.

It also manages perfectly the different calendars: Gregorian, Julian, Republican, Hebrew and movable feasts.

It knows how to convert dates automatically with the Dates panel, a converter tool for dates and movable feasts.
