You can rename as many events you want. Just double clic on an event and you can change it's name. (See page53 on the Heredis user guide : http://telechargement1.heredis.com/manu ... PC2015.pdf)

Family Tree Maker keeps media in a directory. I copied entire media directory to Mac. Transferred GEDCOM to Mac. Imported GEDCOM and Heredis asked for media location. Census images did not import. This is not possible with the iOS app.
It is possible with both PC or Mac version. They don't have an events index, but search module which could give you the answer to your question.
