French dialogs for English version of Heredis 2019 for Mac
I just submitted this to customer service as well, but was curious if it was happening for anyone else. I have upgraded to Heredis 2019 for Mac, purchased via App Store. It reports version 19.3.0, and no further updates appear in the App Store. I am using the English version, and for the most part e...

Re: B/D event type changes on Family Group Data tab
Just an update - this bug still exists in the Heredis 2015 update from a couple weeks ago: Release: 4.0.3.8688 S The Birth/Death event types are still being changed when I enter data as described on the Family Group Data tab. If anything, it is even worse in this version (when entering data on the F...

Re: B/D event type changes on Family Group Data tab
Thanks for checking and confirming that this is not somehow unique to my setup. In a separate topic (about the media pane), there was a suggestion about resetting preferences. I gave that a try as well, to see if it made any difference, using this mechanism in a Terminal window: $ defaults delete co...

Re: 2015 won't recognize my 2014 file as Heredis
It seems like you're trying to have Heredis 2015 open and convert the Heredis 2014 application itself, rather than one of its data files - probably because the Open dialog defaulted to the Applications folder for you. You can find the location of the Heredis data files a couple ways, but since you'r...

Re: Heredis Data File Location?
There are a couple ways you should be able to find your data file. 1) Use spotlight (usually Command-Space bar). Type "hmw" in the search bar, but don't hit return. In the left pane, scroll (if needed) to the bottom, and double-click "Show all in Finder...". Scroll to the bottom of the finder window...

Re: B/D event type changes on Family Group Data tab
Thanks for your response, Billdog. I gave your suggestion a try, but I'm still seeing the events being swapped. My defaults were actually already set to Birth and Death. If I change the defaults to Christening/Burial, I do see "C" and "B" as the event types when adding a new child on the Family Grou...

Re: Media Not Showing in List
I just checked to see if the same thing is happening for me, and it is not. I am able to see all my media in the left hand Media pane (granted, that's only 6 items in my tree). Is there any chance that maybe you have something other than "All media" selected in the drop-down which is limiting the li...

B/D event type changes on Family Group Data tab
I don't see any other support location to file bug reports, so I guess the forums are the place for them. I just upgraded to Heredis2015 and noticed a problem with data entry on the Family Group Data tab - the birth/death event types are changing to christening/burial and vice versa. To reproduce: S...
