Re: Occupations

Well, when they added the facts handling as it is today they did put the RESI-tag under facts, as well as all the other attributes. So the possibility and code for handling attributes is there. Only the OCCU-tag was taken out and put under the events, even though it is not an event. Like I wrote, wh...

According to the GEDCOM standard, an occupation (OCCU) falls under the "INDIVIDUAL_ATTRIBUTE_STRUCTURE", but Heredis forces me to register an occupation as an event. I know I could create a generic fact, but that should be used for facts th...

Now, when I want to open the Heredis file I have created using Heredis 2015 I choose "Open a Heredis file", select the .heredis f...

Event information

Hi, When adding events to a person, like for instance occupation, is it somehow possible to have the actual occupation show on the persons information? Right now it is shown as: events.jpg Would it be possible to have the occupation shown as: Occupation: 15.5.1951 - Farmer I know I can also add occu...

Adding custom events

On page 52 in the manual it states I can create events not proposed by Heredis: 2. Choose Ready-to-use events , then the neutral event called Event Misc However, when I try to add an event it does not give me the option "Ready-to-use events". Is this because I am still on the demo version or is it a...

Re: No Search Record, Search Record, Untraceable Record

From the manual: To help track your research, for each event, Heredis proposes what action you should take. Specify the status of the source in the drop-down menu. Choose No Search Record, Search Record, or Untraceable Record, whichever corresponds to the event entered. Basically it states I can sel...
