I don't have these fields but if you imported a Gedcom file from another application, could this be the unique identifier for each person that was used by the other application? I would probably end up there during the import.

Re: Persons list
Hiya,
In the Reports menu, you can select "Persons reports" and then "By name". That gave me a list of people by surname followed christian name in a file. Or do you mean in a different way?

Re: Display Problem
"So A1 and A2 have a girl (A3). B1 and B2 have a boy (B3) A1 an B1 are brothers. A3 and B3 marry." The lines are duplicated because A3 and B3 are related in two ways: they are cousins and they are husband and wife. In your picture I see that Fernando Tamariz Martel y Angulo is the primary person (th...

Re: Creating sources in Heredis - best practices
I want to come back to say that:
a) Evidence explained is a great about sources and citations in genealogy.
b) I am really happy that Heredis uses the source and citations following the reccomendations describedd in that book. It is very useful.

Please someone delete the Spam threads. It is difficult to use the forum
Dear all, Could somebody from Heredis please delete the spam thrads? It is very difficult to navigate the forum with so many spam messages. I know that some have been bloced but if they disappear, that would be great. It is also damaging for Heredis as a company it gives the impression that the prod...

Sources for Alternate Names
When I add an alternate name, I could not find a way to link this alternate name to a particular source or event. Is it possible at all? The background for my question is because in that, before the 19th century it was not uncommon thet same person appears with different names (some times just spell...

Re: Missing information?
Hi, I am not sure where the notes might have been imported. It depends where those notes were located in your Gedcom file. In Heredis, notes might be added to a person, to a family or to an event. Here is a link describing the different places where nots can be added. It might give you some ideas of...

Re: detection of isolated groups
Hi, I have just made a test in Heredis 2021 and it seems to work in the way you mention. The search for isolated persons only returns persons without any link, which is I guess what the developers had in mind. There is still not feature to search for "isolated families" or "isolated groups". At leas...

Re: new version 20.2 of 30 jan 2020
I also got a notification of the update and could install it without problems. Heredis published some information about this update in the French forum but not yet in the English forum, for some reason. Here's what they published: https://www.heredis.com/forums/fr/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=33808 ette mis...

Re: This forum in terminal decline?
One thing that I have just realised is that the forums do not seem to come up as results in Google when you make a search. The only way to find out about the forum is by going to the Help and Support page in Heredis (from the programme Help menu) and then click the Self-helf community link. It could...
