Re: Ancestry access
Comparing the Online Archives and Search Tab functions is difficult. First, I am not an expert with Heredis. Second, how each of us handles our researches will certainly differ, meaning some will prefer the Online Archives while other will prefer the Search Tab. I prefer the Search Tab function, how...

Re: English version of PRO?
Paraf, Please look a few topics down the list for the following: * New Heredis January 2017 (topic - Dec 19th) * Heredis 2017 Pro - translate to English? (topic - Nov 17th) Whether the new (2017) English version will contain all of the French Pro version features, probably only the Heredis staff can...

Re: Ancestry access
Good Day Paraf, Could you please explain what you mean by "see the connection into Ancestry"? Do you mean searching Ancestry? Or, do you perhaps mean contributing a tree to Ancestry? If you meant searching Ancestry, from Heredis select an individual you want to search Ancestry for records and Select...

Re: Manual
In addition to the location Mike identified, you can download an eManual (from the Heredis web site, Help and learning tab > User Guide). You can then transfer the downloaded User Guide to an eReader for easy use.

Notes - Person, Research, Family (for marriage)
A couple of suggestions for the next version of Heredis if I may. The Details tab of an event has a grayed 'note' icon to the right of the note field. On the Search tab, the Research Note tab has an icon if that field contains a note. However, person notes, found by scrolling (right side) the first ...

Re: Data access
In addition to the Online Archives research page Mike mentioned, please note the Search tab and its capabilities for each individual in your database. As the screen shot shows (graphic is scrollable on right edge), you have both sites pre-set by Heredis and additions you can include. The Search tab ...

Re: Out Of Memory
By 'load a ged file', do you mean you have installed and have Heredis running on your MS Surface pc and are importing and converting that ged file to a Heredis database file? If so, how much memory does your Surface have currently on the drive? Your Surface will need both space for the ged file you ...

Re: Win32:Evo-gen
Please provide a bit more information. What (exactly) does this 'message' state? What anti-virus / internet services checking software do you have on your computer? When did you last check your computer for problems? What operating system is your computer running (32- or 64-bit, Windows version, RAM...

Re: Hardware / software version
While your suggestion has merit, frequently the new user who posts with a problem is focused on the software (Heredis) and rarely understands there are other elements that might be affecting their problem. Now, if there were a way to suggest during forum registration that such OS and other informati...
