Stories

I would like to see an option to add stories to a person. I've been receiving stories from family members and would like to add those to the relevant person, but aside from the 'Person Note' in the 'Family Data' section which won't be displayed online unless we give everyone full access to a person'...

Re: Prefix in reports

I fell to be understood :? Could you show what you obtained in the "Surname" field by these actions ? I have too many names to properly show with a screenshot so I'll outline it below, please note that my settings mean that all surnames are in capitals by default) 1. In Dutch, surnames that include...

Re: Prefix in reports

For this 'multi word' "van den" use a 'breaking space' (ALT+0160) between "van" and "den" ... I tried this but it changed the surname into all caps so I still had to choose 'Handle Characters Manually', which in turn resulted to the surname being sorted by 'V' instead of 'D' but ideally it should a...

Re: Places in reports

For my own use, I don't use the "Postal code" field for what it is supposed to be Instead, I use it to contain what I want to see in Reports when using "City (Postal code)" I'm thinking of adjusting the address fields as well to serve as a workaround, cause I really don't like those question marks....

Re: Prefix in reports

Have you tried in Surname (all in low case when you key in) That's what I do now, but only one prefix will stay lowercaps, if I have a name that's 'van den Buren' for example, it'll show as 'van DEN BUREN'. My workaround at the moment is that I adjust this in the Surnames Index and choose to 'Handl...

Places in reports

I currently have quite a few places where I only know the country, however, when I create a report I don't have the option to only display the country, or at the very least, city and country. Displaying county isn't always of interest for me. Is there a way I can choose the exact fields for a report...

Nobiliary Particles in reports

I use Dutch names in Heredis and a lot of Dutch surnames have [s] prefixes [/s] nobiliary particles such as 'van' 'de' 'van den' etc. When I insert a surname with the [s]prefix[/s] nobiliary particles in the prefix field, whenever I create a report, the prefix gets placed after the surname. For exam...

Re: extra cost

I have Heredis 2017 but didn’t receive the free download for 2018. Where can I find that? Thank you for your answer. You have bought Heredis 2017 the 26/02/2017, one year before the launch of Heredis 2018 so you can't enjoy the offer "for every purchase of a Heredis 2017 version for Windows or Mac,...

I can’t believe I’m only seeing your latest response now! Thanks so much for looking into this for me Denise. I will look at the options you mentioned to help me quickly determine whether or not I have the necessary information available.
