Hypertext links

Hi

It is not possible to have an hypertext link in an event note. I know this is possible with the french version although both are 2015 versions.

Is it a bugg ? Any idea when this will be corrected ?

Hi,

The details tab of the events must not contain images, formatted text nor hypertext links in both versions of Heredis, for it accumulates unnecessary data in the databasis, increasing the Heredis file size and potentially corrupting the file itself.

Hypertext links would increase the size of the heredis file ??? I don't think so

And why is it possible to have hypertext links in an event note in the french version ?

Hi,

It is possible to add hyperlink text in the details tab in both versions but it is not advised as it does contain formatted text, e.g characters that might not be visible but they are still present in the details field.
Some of these characters can indeed corrupt the creation of reports or trees and generate errors. Images will on the other hand drastically increase the Heredis file size.

This capability has been added by BSD as late as Heredis 12 (was not there before) and I have no remembrance of user problem with it since then ... !

I use it frequently with no problem in editing Reports of any kind

Sorry but what you show is the french version

My point is that it does not work the same with the english version although they are both 2015.

I just can't see why there is a difference between the two versions

This was intended as an answer to Billal to say that hyperlinks do not generate problems, even in reports ...

You are right, the button shown is not present in the english version (forgotten ?) but, while waiting for it to be added, one can Paste an hyperlink copied from a Web page or Word document, or ...
