Thanks for the feedback, I didn't get around to replying till now and just seeing these messages. You can ignore my pm cause I see your answer here alreadymike wrote: ↑Tue Aug 07, 2018 5:50 amHere is a H17 file which does recognize as nobiliary particles : am, an, auf, auf der, aus der, d’, de, im, of, ‘t, van, van den, van der, van ‘t, von, von der, von und zu, zu, zum, zur (all in low case) - Open it
- Import your own heredis file
- suppress the individual "Ernst DUMMY" and suppress "DUMMY from the "Surname index"
- and now, to key-in your surnames use viewtopic.php?f=18&t=4683#p12139
High roll now …
I will try it with a copy indeed, thanks for the tip
Have you discovered how useful is the file I sent you ?
Apologies for the late reply! I was unable to work on Heredis the last two weeks (unexpected).

Yes, and without any unlawfull action …
Wait... So the French version of Heredis has the option to add specific prefixes to the surname list??mike wrote: ↑Sat Aug 18, 2018 6:09 amYes, and without any unlawfull action …
- use the french demo version for PC (see section "Patches" in https://www.heredis.com/aide-et-support ... n/#patches )
- to create a "Nouvelle généalogie" containing a "première personne" only
- then update by your needs the 'liste des particules" using the "Outils" of the "Dictionnaire des noms"
- 'enregistrer" (save) the file and use it with your 'foreign' (English) PC version
(It does not apply for the Mac versions)
