Copy data from one tree to another

Post by finacoles2 » Fri Jul 17, 2020 1:20 pm

Hi

Sorry if this sounds an easy question, but I'm new to Heredis.

So I have my main tree and I also have another tree sent from a family member via a gedcom, which I have added to the program. How can I copy data from one tree and add it to the other? Hope that makes sense.

Ther is no such function
However, you could Export (Export/Heredis) one marked individual from one file, then import into the other file

My opinion : key in the informations instead of importing because there is always some preferences differences between two persons : between you and the originator of the received Gedcom. One day, one or more of those differences will genrate a problem, either in a print-out, or some other. Furthermore, this way you will better know what is in your own file.
Sincerely.
Mike
