FamilySearch does not work with new files

Whenever I start a new family tree. I do the following:
Go to File and choose "New"

I am then prompted for the first name of the tree. I enter all the information I have about the person.

Then I go to the Search tab. I click FamilySearch button.

After I login to FamilySearch

When I see that the person is not linked, I choose the "Primary Person" tab.

I then press the "Search" button

The Search begins. It keeps searching and searching and searching never returning any results. The process seems stuck. I finally have to force quit the application. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? If so, is there a fix? If it is a problem, has Heredis addressed it. Does FamilySearch know there is a problem with their process? I am just wondering it is me or my computer. Thanks, Jeff
