Source Numbers - Newbie Question

I just downloaded Heredis and like the user interface but have a question for which I could not find anything in the Help nor here in the forum:

Does Heredis use source numbers, i.e. a unique "ID" number for each source? I am asking because I organize my sources by their number, not by their title. So I would need a program that offers me the opportunity to display, edit and sort my sources by their number. I assume the answer is no but would be happy to hear from the experts on this. Thank you in advance.

I apologize. I apparently did not make myself clear enough.

I am asking IF Heredis has source numbers, maybe in hidden fields that are not displayed in regular view. I searched Heredis Help for 'source numbers' and got something that stated that not all fields were displayed in default view. This is where my question comes from. Thanks.

No, heredis does not use a numbering system for sources on which one can rely
I would suggest that you implement your own and use (partly if needed) for it the "Title" field
