While I am unable to start Heredis on my laptop, I have transferred a GEDCOM to my desktop to begin checking data. However, I have some people (typically women) for whom I have no surname yet. In the previous software I used [--?--] or (--?--) for unknown or not yet identified names. In Heredis, those names are shown as (for example):
? - NO NAME Catharine
I have checked through the help, pdf file and only find references to typing in a surname or given names. I found no reference describing how Heredis treats unknown names, or how such names should be recorded in Heredis.
Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
