on H14 How to get a "patronomic" tree

Post by sambert » Wed Feb 26, 2014 2:09 am

Hi
Am delighted with Heredis, and the latest version is no exception.

In previous versions one could get a "patronomic" tree, ie, with only the male name descendants ( the female are only on 1 generation and then dropped). I can see this option anymore on H14. or is it hidden elsewhere.

This is essential for me, as my base is huge, and printing all descendants gives me a far too big output to print.
previously, this was a clear drop-down option in the H13 french version.

Look forward to your suggestion

thanks

You were probably using the "PRO" french version (not the "Classic")
This chart is not available with the (less expensive) Classic versions, and the English versions of Heredis are of the Classic type ...

Does that mean that the work I have done on H14, ( no choice or indication of difference between pro and Classic was given when I upgraded to H14) now cannot be opened by H13, and hence lost, if I wish to print a "Patronomic" tree ?

Do I have to buy still another version of H14 to do this ?
Or is there some way I can convert-open the updated data in H14 in H13
Thanks
