Using online crowd translation sites sounds for me viable solution.
Of course it requires that source code is written string resources in mind.

As I wrote you an Facebook there is no problem for me to help you with german translation. I'm looking forward to get Heredis in german. So +1 for german version.

I used this program years before on windows (it was german version). I tried the new Heredis on Mac last weeks and it is the best genealogy program I ever tested. Also the old one was great. If you can promise me there will be a german version (this year maybe), I will buy the english version and work with is. But a german would be more comfortable.

Hello,
I've downloaded a trial version, uploaded Gedcom file and noticed in the right down side under parents, spouse and children I don't see Lithuanian diacritics, instead them some hieroglyphics are shown.
Would like to ask does Heredis support entering Lithuanian characters and if yes, why are they now shown correctly?
This is presales question, but have to place it here, as I don't need a program, which doesn't support my native language characters. For privacy reasons can't upload a print screen, but if Heredis staff is interested, could send it to PM.

Hi,

If you are a Mac user, then Heredis supports the characters of all languages .
If you are a Windows user, for now Heredis only supports the character of the OS language, e.g if you installed Windows in English then Heredis will support English characters and Lithuanian ones.

I am a Windows user. My Windows are English, I have Lithuanian keyboard added via add languages in order to type in Lithuanian. What is most strange, some characters in Heredis on the left and center are displayed correctly, only these from right in hieroglyphs. So seems this means Heredis is not for me?

Why not making a Unicode for Windows?
