Person official name change

One of the people in my tree has officially changed their last name. I would like to add both the new last name as well as the old one to the person. Is there an option within Heredis to indicate this person has two last names?

I'm using Heredis 2017 for Windows.
Version 17.4
Windows 10 - 64 bit

I suspect what you are asking about is 'alternate name', especially including such names in the name list. That has been an on-going topic of the board for a few years (search for 'alternate name', no single quote).

Unfortunately, including alternate names in the name list, even legally change names, just is not available. As someone with a legal name change, all I've been able to do in Heredis is add the name information to a note.

Thanks for the feedback. I've currently done the same as well. I added the name change in the note.
Hopefully in a future Heredis update there'll be a way to add an alternate name to a person.
