People missing in Places
People missing in Places
I have entered an address under Residence for both a husband and wife. However, in the address in Index of Places, only the husband is shown in that address.
Any ideas?

Re: People missing in Places
Trying to understand ...
I have added a "Family residence" to a couple (town, ..., subdivision)
The Places index shows the address (subdivision) as used for both of tose people, their names linked by an "&" Is it your case ?

Re: People missing in Places
Thanks Mike
Didn't know about Family Residence facility (where is it?).
I have shown the same address for a husband and wife separately as a Residence, but only one of them is shown under Places. Other similar entries have worked - ie the Places entry shows both husband and wife.
Are you saying the Family Residence facility is the best way to record a common address?

Re: People missing in Places
This is the case as well for my testing ...
Could you show the event under the "Personal Data" tab for each of your two people ?
No, but only that this is my choice as long as the two are 'living' together
Sincerely.

Re: People missing in Places
How do you use the Family Residence facility?

Re: People missing in Places
I've used the Family Residence facility now for a husband, and I now see it shows as a Family Residence entry for his wife as well under her data. However, in the Places entry in Index of Places it shows only the husband.

Re: People missing in Places
Hi Mike
The top image here is from Index of Places, which shows only the husband.
The bottom image is the data page for the wife (listed under maiden name). This shows her and her husband. I confirm that the husband's data page shows both.
Why does the Index entry not show both?
[I hope the attachment comes through!]

Re: People missing in Places
You missed to say that you "shared" this event between the two persons ...
If you look more carefully to your "top image" you will probably see, as I do, that both names are there with an "&" in between ...
