[FIXED] Not possible to run the program: "An error has been detected."

Dear all,

I had to reinstall Heredis 2015 on my computer but when I run it, I get the following error:

"An error has been detected. Please reinstall the software."

This error appears when I run the software with my normal user. If I run the application with an administrator user, it runs correctly but I don't want to run it with an administrator account.

I have uninstalled the software and installed it again but the error persists.

I am running on Windows 10 32 bits, with all the latest hotfixes. Heredis version is 15.3 (the latest).

In another Windows 10 computer I did not come across this issue and I can run Heredis 2015 with a normal, non-administrator account.

Is there anything else I could try?

Hi,

You could try resetting the preferences :
Launch Heredis while pressing Control key (Ctrl) , you should see a pop warning you about deleting preferences ....
release Ctrl and click on Yes....

If it fails, it means your Windows user account might be corrupted ...

Ctrl+Click only works from the Administrator account. I deleted the preferences but then when running with normal account, the error still persists.

I have created a totally new account in Windows but, when I run Heredis from that account, the same error message appears again.

Looking into the event viewer, I noticed that the crash is caused by one particular dll fiile, in case it is useful:
